Avocado360 collaborated with Beyond Gravity (formerly Ruag Space) to create an immersive 360° VR video showcasing the production of payload fairings at their Emmen facility for the European Space Agency (ESA), specifically for Ariane and Vega rockets. This project aimed to provide visitors and customers with an in-depth look at the manufacturing process through cutting-edge 360° virtual reality.
Avocado360 handled all aspects of production, including planning, filming, voiceover localization in multiple languages, and custom music composition. The project presented a unique challenge: ensuring compatibility with both VR goggles and full dome cinema presentations, such as those in planetariums.
Leveraging our extensive expertise in 360° VR video and full dome production, we navigated the distinct differences between content designed for VR headsets and full dome environments. Our experience ensured a seamless, high-quality viewing experience across both platforms.
Avocado360 produced a special 360° video for the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope, held at the Planetarium of the Swiss Museum of Transport. This event highlighted Beyond Gravity’s role in building the payload fairings for the telescope’s historic launch. The 360° video was streamed worldwide, offering a global audience an immersive experience of the event.
The video is also showcased at exhibition booths using Oculus Quest VR glasses, providing an engaging, interactive way for visitors to explore the event and Beyond Gravity’s contributions in virtual reality.
