Avocado360 Studio
Immersive storytelling from Switzerland — since 2012.
It started with a camera. In the Swiss Alps, next to glaciers that were already disappearing. That was the beginning of everything.
Avocado360 Studio produces immersive films and 360° experiences for organisations that have something real to say. We come from documentary photography and journalism not animation, not advertising. That shapes everything we make.
We work with scientists, institutions, NGOs and planetariums. We go where cameras rarely go. We make what we find impossible to ignore through fulldome cinema, 360° VR film and immersive experiences built for the spaces that matter most.
The story always comes first. The format follows.
Behind Avocado360 Studio stands Avocado Productions GmbH, founded in 1997. The Avocado360 brand has been producing immersive content since 2012, from the first virtual tours to fulldome cinema screened internationally, drawing on nearly three decades of accumulated experience and craft.
We are a Swiss studio working nationally and internationally from the Alps to dome theatres and science centres worldwide.
Fulldome cinema, 360° VR film, aerial drone production, hybrid VR experiences and interactive virtual tours all produced in-house.
Scientists, NGOs, foundations, planetariums, tourism organisations and companies with a genuine story to tell.
Urs grew up in the Swiss Alps, in the shadow of glaciers he watched disappear over decades. That early experience, the mountains, the changing landscape, the sense of something irreplaceable being lost, became the foundation of everything he makes.
He began as a photographer, working in advertising and fashion before immersive technology opened a new direction. From the first virtual tours to fulldome cinema, he built Avocado360 into a studio that uses real images for real stories, told from a documentary perspective in immersive spaces.
His work inside the Plaine-Morte glacier, produced with the Tages-Anzeiger, won the Henri Nannen Prize and the Deutscher Reporterpreis. The experience of being inside a glacier that would no longer exist by the end of the century confirmed what he had always believed: that immersive media does not just show reality, it makes people feel it.
Today he directs, produces and leads post-production, from the Swiss Alps to international dome theatres and science centres worldwide.
Anush brings two decades of international production experience to Avocado360. Before co-founding the studio, she produced for some of the world's most demanding clients, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Rolex, Nike, UBS and Procter & Gamble, and worked alongside photographers of global renown including Mario Testino, Markus Wendler, Serge Guérand and Dimitri Tolstoi.
She is a partner of Avocado Productions and has been part of Avocado360 from the very beginning. She does not just organise, she brings a sharp eye for style, visual consistency and production quality that runs through everything the studio makes.
As Executive Producer, she oversees every project from first brief to final delivery, managing timelines, teams and partners while keeping quality at the centre of every decision.
The people who make it happen.
Awards belong to the whole team.
Immersive storytelling is never a solo effort. Every award Avocado360 has received reflects the work of directors, cinematographers, sound designers, scientists and partners who gave everything to a project. We are proud of these recognitions — and we share them.
We go where cameras rarely go. And we make what we find impossible to ignore.
Bring us into your next project.
Whether you are a planetarium, a foundation, a research institution or a company with a genuine story to tell — we welcome conversations at any stage. The earlier the better.
