When a headset becomes a pair of glasses
Around 100 grams on your head: Meta VR Glasses show how VR is changing. For your customer presentations, trade shows and 360° experiences, that could help lower an important barrier.
“VR is impressive. But do our customers really have to put on such a bulky, heavy headset?” That objection can determine whether a good idea becomes a project. Announced on 23 September 2026, Meta VR Glasses address precisely this issue: Meta says the glasses weigh around 100 grams. The battery and processing power move into a separate, tethered puck.
01 · What is changing
Less weight. More curiosity.
For your guests, the experience begins before the first image.
However good a presentation is, its story cannot reach someone who is reluctant to put on the device. A lighter, glasses-like design could make that first step easier. At Avocado360, this is what makes the announcement significant.
The glasses contain the display and sensors; the external puck handles processing, battery and storage. The roughly 100 grams refer to the device on your head, not the entire system. Source: Meta ↗
To help your guests focus on the content, we also design the experience around it: the right films, preparation and on-site support.

02 · For your business
Show people what usually stays out of sight.
The real value lies in what your customers can experience.
Imagine a visitor at your trade show stand suddenly finding themselves inside your production facility on another continent — through a 360° film. Your next conversation starts with something they have just experienced.
Trade shows and sales
Bring your production floor or a distinctive working environment to your customer. The experience can make complex processes easier to understand and provide a concrete starting point for a sales conversation.
Tourism and destinations
Transport prospective visitors to a mountain summit, a lakeside or the heart of a hotel. Let them feel the atmosphere of your destination before their journey begins.
Recruitment and career exploration
Give candidates a spatial understanding of the work, the people and the environment. This creates specific questions and meaningful conversations about everyday working life.
Visitor centres and company presentations
Open a window onto distant sites or hard-to-access areas. Your guests can explore them on film without travelling there themselves.
These applications are already possible today. Lighter devices could make them more accessible. What should people better understand, feel or discuss after your experience?
03 · Personal Cinema and sports
Big-screen experiences. In a small pair of glasses.
Meta puts films and immersive experiences centre stage.
Meta has announced the first IMAX Enhanced certified VR device, with 3D films and selected expanded IMAX aspect ratios. Its ESPN partnership also brings plans for 8K streaming and 180° views, starting on Quest in 2026. From the glasses’ launch, Meta promises more than 100 immersive live US sports events a year. Viewers get a special vantage point — in front of a virtual cinema screen or close to the action. Applied to your company’s story: where would your customer need to stand to really see what makes the difference?

We choose the format to suit your story: a virtual screen, 180° or 360°. The stated 8K refers to the sports stream, not the display resolution.

04 · From idea to experience
Your content. Made for your audience.
Not every experience needs the same presentation format.
At a trade show, an individual VR experience may be the right choice. For a group, a fulldome could work better: everyone shares the same film under a dome. Your audience, venue and communication goals should guide the decision.
At Avocado360, we consider these possibilities early. High-quality 360° footage can provide a foundation for several versions; each presentation format needs its own adaptation. This helps us plan content with future uses in mind.
From concept and filming to presentation, we connect your message with the right experience. For your guests, the process should feel clear: put it on, explore, start a conversation.
Your customers should remember the place, the product and the story — not how heavy the headset felt.
05 · What you should know
A perspective for future projects.
Launch timing and practical questions belong in the plan.
Meta quotes a US price of $1,299.99. Local pricing, launch availability and access to individual content services need to be checked for your market. Source: Meta ↗
The glasses have been announced; we have not tested them ourselves. Before customer deployment, comfort, playback of your own films, hygiene and device management need to be assessed. If you are planning a project today, you can develop the story and content now, then choose suitable hardware for the time of delivery.

A place your customers have never seen? A process that is difficult to explain? A product whose impact needs to be experienced? Let’s explore how to turn it into a compelling immersive experience.
